The Jobs.com.au business was acquired in June 2007 by a Brisbane-based web publishing firm. Since the original relaunch of Jobs.com.au in 2007, the website has continued its rise in popularity to its current standing as one of the highest ranking job sites in Australia.
Brisbane, QLD (PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- The high ranking Australian jobs and career website, Jobs.com.au, has partnered with JOBX in a move to improve the customer experience with greater search functionality and a wider variety of advertised positions. The Jobs.com.au business was acquired in June 2007 by a Brisbane-based web publishing firm. Since the original relaunch of Jobs.com.au in 2007, the website has continued its rise in popularity to its current standing as one of the highest ranking job sites in Australia.

Jobs.com.au CEO, Peter Andronicos, understood the need for a more comprehensive user experience if the website was to grow, the dynamic career website JOBX was approached to further develop the functionality of Jobs.com.au. This partnership has benefited JOBX by providing them with much more high quality traffic than they would normally have expected and has shown exceptional results in a very limited amount of time. A marked increase in the exploration of the pages on Jobs.com.au has also been felt, demonstrating that users have embraced the changes with gusto.
With the unemployment rate at astonishing lows of 4.0% in March 2008, job search sites offer more potential than ever before in helping people into the careers they want. Low unemployment and a high level of new jobs being advertised every day means that users more than ever before will need easily accessible and understandable help to sort through the massive range of career choices. Signs that job advertisements have fallen in both February and March indicates some slowing of the economy, but this makes it more vital than ever to get into the right job before competition rises again.
Using the JOBX platform allows Jobs.com.au to provide a range of tools and resources for job seekers. From job-related videos, including tips on how to do well in interviews to inspiration and advice from experts in their field. There's also a range of web 2.0 features such as the job wiki, polls, webinars, job news, competitions and podcasts. Jobs.com.au also provides a cheaper alternative for employers to advertise a job online with listings starting from just $29.95.
Jobs.com.au provided a portal to many top career websites and job search tools from its original launch in 2007, but the redesign of the site has dramatically improved the range of user experience. A powerful search tool has been added to the site, making it much more convenient to find the best jobs, as well as a massive expansion of the job categories index to help users of all kinds to narrow down their search criteria even further. Additionally, extra resources and training possibilities have been added to the Jobs.com.au site by JOBX, giving users help beyond just searching through advertised positions.

Gallery on the Horizon!
As a few of us are students, we may be able to take out a student loan to hopefully reduce our costs. This will save a huge amount of space in my house and I may even display some of my own work in our new gallery!

Fallen For Magritte
I've found a few online sites which have the prints i'm after at reasonable prices so I just need to apply for an Aussie Mastercard which i'll use specifically for online shopping (I think i'll use their 0% balance transfer to help minimise the cost of all the other items i've already bought....and there are A LOT!).
For starters, i'm going to buy a print of "The Son of Man", a classic!

Theatre Performace
Performances in the theatre are full of meaningful issues and dialogue that address emotions and thoughts about the events or people in the news. These performances are generally very emotive and have a message to deliver. However, there is some performance on stage where the actors are comical and humours. Musicals and dancing theatre performances are always a phenomenal and very enjoyable to watch and admire the performers. There are plenty of types of theatre genres so whatever your interest is you can enjoy theatre. Performance theatres offer Opera, Comedy, Romantic comedy, musicals and so much more. Tickets for performances can be expensive because of the great deal of organising and people involved in the on-stage performance. If you are unable to get a ticket to a theatre performance you may opt for the movie theatre. Going to the theatre is a favourite activity for a lot of people. Quite often you leave feeling empowered by the story line and motivated to change something in your life to improve your situation. Some movie theatres have cheaper days so you can even make it a weekly thing. Today home theatres are more affordable and quickly making their way into every living room. While the original set up cost can be expansive you can enjoy the movies in your own home anytime. Drive-In theatres were a great when they first begun but now there are only 21 theatres left in Australia. Superior sound and picture has made the movie theatre a better choice to watch new films.

Media: Charcoal
Charcoal is mainly used for drawing and making rough sketches before painting. It should be preserved by the application of a fixative otherwise the charcoal can rub or fall off.It is an excellent media for artists to use because of the ability to create beautiful shading and tones. Charcoal can also be used with chalk (white and coloured) in mixed media drawings to create coloured and white to black shading.
There are 3 types of charcoal:
- Vine charcoal is created by burning sticks of wood (usually willow or linden/Tilia) into soft, medium, and hard consistencies. Bamboo charcoal is the principal tool in Japanese Sumi-e art.
- Compressed charcoal is made when charcoal powder is mixed with gum binder and then compressed into round or square sticks. The amount of binder determines the hardness of the stick. Compressed charcoal is used in charcoal pencils.
- Powdered charcoal is often used to tone or cover large sections of a drawing surface. Drawing over the toned areas will darken it further, but the artist can also lighten (or completely erase) within the toned area to create lighter tones.
